Chalmers is proud to collaborate with West Pride, the festival to be held 28th May – 1st June 2014.

Chalmers is joining in to demonstrate that we regard transparency, creativity and multiplicity as being essential values.

Together with colleagues from the University of Gothenburg they have drawn up a program on May 30 with lectures and panel talks at Artisten. The Rainbow Parade 1st June
Chalmers will participate in this year’s Rainbow Parade to demonstrate our conviction that all people are equal. We encourage staff and students to participate in the parade, and especially beneath the Chalmers flag. Chalmers president and CEO Karin Markides will be participating in the parade.
The parade starts at 1 p.m. with speeches made by a number of stalwart supporters of HBT concerns, and with then departs from Götaplatsen at 2 p.m.
West Pride is a free culture festival that provides safe meeting places for HBT people and raises norm criteria and the life situations of HBT people by means of art and culture. The West pride 2014 slogan is ”En konstig festival” (”konstig ”being a play on the words ”konstig” (strange/queer) and ”konst” (art)) and takes place in Göteborg from the 28th of May until the 1st of June 2014.
